Delta Governor H.E Sheriff Oborevori Appoints Diana Ereyitomi Eyo-Enoette as Special Assistant on SDGs

Delta state Governor H.E Sheriff Oborevori has announced the appointment of Diana Ereyitomi Eyo-Enoette as Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The strategic appointment reflects the Governor’s commitment to advancing the state’s development agenda in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Diana Ereyitomi Eyo-Enoette, a seasoned development practitioner with a track record of impactful initiatives, is poised to leverage her expertise in driving the state’s efforts towards meaningful development.

As Special Assistant on SDGs, she will play a pivotal role in supporting Governor Oborevori’s TripleAs action plan, aimed at ensuring Delta State attains Meaningful Development, Opportunities for all, Realistic Reforms, Enhance Peace and Security (M.O.R.E) through the implementation of SDGs.

In accepting this appointment, Diana Ereyitomi Eyo-Enoette expressed her gratitude to Governor Oborevori for entrusting her with this critical role. She affirmed her dedication to collaborating with stakeholders across sectors to actualize the state’s development objectives and promote inclusive growth.

Governor Oborevori commended Diana Ereyitomi Eyo-Enoette’s commitment to sustainable development and her vision for driving positive change in Delta State. He expressed confidence in her ability to catalyze impactful initiatives that will propel the state towards greater prosperity for people and planet.

As Special Assistant on SDGs, Diana Ereyitomi Eyo-Enoette will lead initiatives aimed at addressing key development challenges, fostering innovation, and enhancing collaboration among government agencies, civil society organizations, and private sector partners.

The appointment of Diana Ereyitomi Eyo-Enoette underscores Governor Oborevori’s unwavering dedication to harnessing the potential of Delta State to achieve sustainable and inclusive development, leaving no one behind.

The Governor also invited all stakeholders to join hands in making Delta State a model of sustainable development, not just within Nigeria but as a beacon to the world. 

Recall that the Proposed Delta State United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Implementation Framework 2024-2027: M.O.R.E Through SDGs (MTS). Delta State embarked  on a transformative journey with the “M.O.R.E Through SDGs” (MTS) initiative, a visionary strategy for the period 2024-2027.

This initiative was  championed by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori, and meticulously drafted by the Special Assistant on SDGs, Diana Eyo- Enoette and the Directorate of SDGs.

 The  framework is a proactive response to both national and global calls for accelerated action towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
